IN COLOR – A dialogue between color and space

The exhibition IN COLOR invites you to a fascinating encounter with color and space. In the historic rooms of Haus Rabe, a masterpiece of classical modernism, the works of Silke Berg and Hermak enter into an exciting dialog.

Silke Berg ‘s large-format, intensely colored installations detach themselves from the wall and spread out sculpturally in the room. They invite visitors to immerse themselves in a vibrant world of color and question the relationship between people, space and objects in a new way.

In contrast to this are the reduced, graphic works by Hermak, who uses clear lines and black and white to address social issues such as digitalization, climate change and migration. Its minimalist aesthetic builds a bridge from the historic Bauhaus to the ideals of the New European Bauhaus.

Together, Berg and Hermak play with the tension between fullness and reduction, creating an intense exploration of space, perception and color. The exhibition impressively demonstrates how diverse and powerful color can be as a means of artistic expression.
